Tattoos Duncan "Three years ago I was on holiday in France with one of my best mates, and we decided to get tattoos - something that represented our friendship. He went first but fainted because of the pai, so I chickened out. When we were touring Asia a couple of months ago, Lee said how much he wanted to get a tattoo. By complete coincidence, the record company rep told us his best friend was a brilliant tattoo artist. Lee was like 'Come on, let's do it!' So we went to this geezer's flat where his studio was. It was clean and hygienic, so I was happy. I wanted something that was symbolic - on holiday my mate had a Chinese symbol on his arm and I fancied something similar, so I had the Chinese Year of the Horse. I thought it was really going to hurt, but I got used to the pain and it was fine. I phoned up my mum, who thinks they're really scummy, and she said: 'A son of mine having a tattoo - you'd better not have it done.' When I showed it to her, she said it was bigger than she thought it would be and that she was just going to ignore it. I'm glad I had it done. In years to come I can look at it and remember going to Asia with a band that's doing reallly well. Before I know it I'm going to be middle-aged and my pop career will be long gone."
Lee "For the last two years I've wanted a tattoo. I really wanted to get my birth sign, Gemini, done. I believe quite strongly in spiritual things and horoscopes. When I met the tattoo artsist he asked if I wanted him to design something for me. He said he could do yin and yang sign with the Gemini symbol in the middle and flames around it. I thought it was all a bit far-fetched, but when I saw it I thought it looked wicked. A lot of people say it is a nice tattoo. I wanted it done on my back because no one can see it there - even when I wear a vest it jut pokes out the top a bit. I don't think I'll ever regret having it done, even when I'm 80. It's memories innit?"

Lee Blue tells us what he plays with in the bath and why he likes lions, barbecues and wrinkly actresses as he chats about his favourite....
....Insult my all time favourite to stop the boys playing up is, "stop it mug! ******* behave!" it works every time.
....Singer Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men. they are my favourite group and he's a wicked man. I absolutely love his voice.
....Expression "it ain't my fault!" I don't know why, but I seem to use that expression all the time.
....Childhood Toy My "little fella"- I used to play with him in the bath! No, really, the best toy I ever had was a He-Man doll. I used to think I could be him. one day we were walking down the pier in Brighton and I saw an old man with a walking stick. I was only little so I pounced, stole his stick and ran around him shouting. "I have the power of Greyskull!" My mum was so embarrassed!
....Trainers Hmm, that's a difficult one because I live in my trainers and have loads of different colours. I'll have to say my Nike Air Max. I'm wearing Timberland boots a lot at the moment, too, though.
....Animal Lions. there is something really mysterious about lions. They could rip you apart if they wanted to, but at the same time they look so cuddly. can you imagine what humans look like to animals? They must think we're so weird.
....Designer label I'm really into Italian designers. Gucci and MoMA are my favourites. you're always guaranteed a good fit with Italian clothes. Ooh, get me!
....Way to end an argument (silent for ages) That's it, I just don't say anything and sit there in silence. it's the only way to end an argument - you don't say a single word and the other person soon get's bored.
....Saturday afternoon pastime if we're not out working, I love sitting in the garden, lighting up the barbecue and chilling out with some burgers. All blokes love barbecues, don't they? I think it's something that's in us from birth.
....Actresses That would have to be either Meg Ryan or Michelle Pfeiffer. Yeah, I know they're both getting on a bit now but, personally, I would be happy with either of them! |
