HEy this is transcript from the BBC chat Look!
From Natalie, London: I want to know on behalf of all the other fans if you are going to be doing a tour at the end of this year/beginning of next? Lee: We're still contemplating it. But it won't be this year. We've done two tours two years in a row. We want to be having fun on the TV programmes at Christmas time. Maybe next summer. Duncan: Check out the website.
From Juliet: What can we expect to see on the DVD of the Guilty tour - any interesting backstage malarkey? Antony: The DVD is out on March 29th. Simon: That's my birthday! Antony: There's a lot interviews and backstage stuff... go and get it!
From Sazzie, Australia: How fun and/or tiring was your fantastic new video, Breathe Easy? Antony: It was cold. Simon: Very cold. But I enjoyed it. I always wanted to make a video in the snow. Lee: It was brill. Duncan: We were walking but there were holes in the ground, you can't see that when it's covered in snow. Lee: It costs about £120,000 to make a video like that! Simon: You only need to sell 30,000 records to get in the top ten nowadays, so there's less money available for videos.
From Lauren: Hi Ant, Simon, Duncan and Lee. Out of all the people you have worked with, who was your favourite? x Lee: Elton John. He was a big influence on me, bigger than Stevie Wonder. We still talk. I bought a suit off him for charity, and still haven't got it!
From Stace: Which song do u like performing the most on tour? Antony: It varies. Probably One Love. To see 12,000 people putting their hands up!... Duncan: I like Long Time. You just have to stand there! If you're in Japan, they're respectful and they listen. In this country they're louder. Lee: In Italy, we played Breathe Easy, and suddenly they were singing along loudly, chucking you off your timing and your notes.
From Jantina01: If you could be one other lad of Blue, for one day who will it be? Lee: I'd be Ant because he's just had a baby! Antony: It's wicked, man! Duncan: I'm happy being myself, thank you!
From swainson: What's the best thing about being in Blue? Antony: Being with your mates. Seeing all the fans, how they react, how supportive they are. Lee: We've got a group with a bit more street cred, instead of being in a group that's labelled a boy band. It's taken us time to get where we are and we've worked hard. We're not giving up yet. People speculate we're going to break up, but we've always said if one of us leaves, it's over because it's not worth it.
From Dannii: Lee if you could have wrote any song in the world what would it be and why? Love Daniella xxx Duncan: Breathe Easy. Lee: My favourite tune of all time is Bohemian Rhapsody. That "Mama, just killed a man.." I love that. A group called Mike and the Mechanics, their tune Why Me. Bohemian Rhapsody is such a crazy song though. A great song to write.
From Kirsty: What ambitions have you all got left that you wish to achieve? Simon: Ambitions never stop. To keep it fun. We're entertainers, not just singers. We're from acting backgrounds, so we want to explore the industry in other areas. Antony: We don't want to be known as a duet band, though.
From LeeIsMine: What would be your ideal birthday present? Simon: I just want the fans to support us. My DVD's out on my birthday, so... Duncan: We'll see if we get a top 3 hit with Breathe Easy. It would be nice to have another number one. Simon: We've got the coolest fan base in the industry. Lee: We have a special relationship with them, we don't see them as an income. We talk to them about things they can't talk about with their teachers or families. We're all ears!
From Razmataz: Do you see other boy bands such as Busted, Westlife and Blazin Squad as competiton? All: No. Duncan: There's enough room in this industry for lots of bands. Lee: It's all about the music.
From Sheree, Manchester: What is your favourite track on the album, Guilty Simon: Manchester! Antony: Bubbling. Simon: Also Back it Up, Wanna Know. Lee: How's a Man Supposed to Change.
From maddy: What were your favourite subjects at school? Antony: Drama. Simon: Drama and PE. Antony: I liked football, but not gymnastics. Lee: I was into Drama. Simon: I was head boy! Lee: I was head boy but only because I was the only boy!
From juliet: What is the best present you have ever received from a fan and what was it? Duncan: We got a handmade dreamcatcher from a fan in Germany. It was beautiful. It's above my bed right now! Lee: I wouldn't use fans' ideas, but they send poems. It helps you understand what they're going through and what music they would like.
From charlotte1: Who are your celebrity mates? Antony: Loads, mate! Simon: These guys are my proper mates. Duncan: Tara. Lee: Shane Richie.
From chick: What have you got your mum for mothers day? Antony: I took her to Japan with us. Simon: I send mine to the Caribbean. She deserves it, she's been my mum for the last 24 years! Duncan: Taking her to Rome at the weekend. I bought her a car this morning as well. Brand new!
From Rhi: Who is the biggest flirt? Duncan: Probably Antony. Simon: Ant is the best at breaking the ice and talking to girls. Antony: Some of it is true. We're all normal lads in our mid- twenties. I'm probably best at breaking the ice, and making them smile.
From Josie: Who has the smelliest feet? Antony: Dunc. Duncan: But I've had good feet recently! I got athlete's foot from all the dancing, and I had it all scraped off! It's never smelt again! The fungus was scraped off it.
From XxLaurenXx: If you were a bird for the day, who's head would you do your droppings on and why? Antony: Daniel Bedingfield. Lee: It's apparently good luck, though! So I'd do it on his left shoulder!
From Jordan: I just wanna ask u have u got any secret crushes? Antony: I've got one... I can't say! Duncan: It's Sheryl from Girls Aloud!
From LeeIsMine: If you were to go out with someone who is famous - who would it be and why? Lee: I wouldn't do it. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt! Duncan: Britney Spears.
From festivalcookie: Are you guys playing at soccer 6 this year? Lee: I'll score some own goals, I'm good at that! Antony: Once a month.
From Marita: How often do you go on your website? Duncan: Once a week. Lee: I'm bad at computers, I just write ideas on them. What is the internet? I don't know!
From Amz: How long does it take to write a song? Simon: I've written a song, Invitation, in four minutes. Lee: It took me a year and a half once to write a song. Simon: It depends what vibe you're on. Sometimes you don't want to rush a song.
From Stace: If u were in i'm a celebrity get me out of here which other celebs would u like to be in there? Antony: These three. Simon: Sugababes! Lee: Liberty X! Duncan: Gotta put Tara back in there! Britney Spears! Simon: And Justin Timberlake as well, if Britney's in there!
Final word: Antony: Thanks to all our fans! Lee: Peace and love! |
